BioVT at DECHEMA Forum in Friedrichshafen
We proudly participated in the DECHEMA Forum 2024 in Friedrichshafen. The event, themed "Science and Industry in Dialogue," focused on topics such as sustainable processes and the hydrogen economy.
Our team contributed with several outstanding presentations:
- Elisa Könnel: "Comparison of yeast vitality after OIV-compliant yeast propagation for alcoholic fermentation."
- Janik Haffelder: "Coffee plant cell cultures as a source of plant-based products."
- Marianne Volkmar: Production of itaconic acid using Ustilago maydis based on renewable feedstocks
- Jan-Niklas Hengsbach: Electrification of fermentations – Increasing production of platform chemicals by combining biotechnology and electrochemistry
- Jonas Kollmen: Expanding the value chain for the sustainable production of natural dyes with cyanobacteria
- Katharina Oehlenschläger: Microbial co-cultivation for ester production
- Sarah Di Nonno: Further development of an off-line photometer for on-line analysis of yeast growth
- Andrea Schmeckebier: Flexibilisation of the batch fermentation for the production of citric acid in the energy system of the future
- Niklas Erdmann: Enhancing Biosandstone production time by incorporating whole cell kinetics of Sporosarcina pasteurii
The conference offered an incredible platform for scientific exchange, new collaborations, and memorable social events that enriched the experience. We had a wonderful time engaging with peers and fostering important connections for future research collaborations.
