Two awards for BioVT at the "21th International Conference on Renewable Resources and Biorefineries"
We were especially honoured to receive two awards at the "21th International Conference on Renewable Resources and Biorefineries"! Wolfgang Laudensack was awarded for the Best PhD Talk, and Katharina Oehlenschläger received the FEMS Microbiology Letters Poster Award. Congratulations!
The BioVT department was represented this year with a lecture and a poster at the "21st International Conference on Renewable Resources and Biorefineries", which took place from 2 to 4 June in Turku, Finland.
- Lecture: Wolfgang Laudensack: ’’Identification of scale-up parameters for the production of platform chemicals from grass press juice’’
- Poster: Katharina Oehlenschläger: “Production of biobased ethyl butyrate by combination of fermentation and biocatalysis”
The conference, attended by about 300 participants from more than 30 countries, focuses on sustainable technologies and innovations for converting renewable biomass into bio-based products and energy. We appreciated the inspiring scientific discussions and the chance to exchange new ideas. Beyond that, we had the opportunity to establish new collaborations and engage in well-organised social activities, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
