Sparkassen Foundation Award for Maximilian Koch

Maximilian Koch, PhD candidate at the Chair of Bioprocess Engineering at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau, has been awarded the Sparkassen Foundation Award of TU Kaiserslautern on July 21th for his outstanding diploma thesis.

His thesis focused on the suitability of ceramic filter discs as a novel aeration method for yeast propagation. The work contributes to the evaluation of innovative bioprocess concepts with potential applications in wine yeast cultivation and addresses a topic of particular relevance to the Palatinate, one of Germany's largest and most important wine-growing regions.

The Chair of Bioprocess Engineering congratulates Maximilian Koch on this recognition and thanks the Sparkassen Foundation for supporting young researchers through this award.
