Pupils from USA and Germany in our labs

On Wednesday 19 June, pupils from Hohenstaufen-Gymnasium Kaiserslautern visited the bioprocess engineering department together with exchange pupils from the Academies of Loudoun school in Leesburg (Virginia, USA).

In the laboratories, they were able to isolate DNA from fruit and vegetables, create a microbial fingerprint and determine the content of glusose solutions they had prepared themselves using a reflectometer.
