Dr. Lena Geuer Appointed Junior Professor of Biotechnological Process Development

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Lena Geuer as Junior Professor of Biotechnological Process Development. The official certificate of appointment was presented today by the President of RPTU, Prof. Dr. Malte Drescher, during a formal ceremony.

With this junior professorship, RPTU further strengthens its activities in the fields of sustainable biotechnology and the bioeconomy. Biotechnological process development represents a key link between fundamental research and industrial implementation. Its aim is to develop innovative and resource-efficient processes for the production of value-added products from renewable resources and to facilitate their transfer into industrial applications. Lena has been closely associated with the Department of Bioprocess Engineering for several years. Her appointment recognizes both her scientific achievements and her strong commitment to research, teaching, and the promotion of young scientists.

The new junior professorship will contribute to advancing research on sustainable biotechnological production processes and further enhance the education and training of the next generation of biotechnologists at RPTU.
