70 kilograms of honey from our hardworking bees

In 2025, we had a very good bee year with nearly 70 kilograms of honey from our hardworking bees. This was a wonderful improvement after the weaker honey year in 2024, which was affected by the weather. The bees of the Bee Club did an excellent job this year and provided us with plenty of honey for our traditional honey distribution. Since we had such a great harvest, we filled the honey into 500-gram jars, and the delivery took place on 22 October.

We would like to thank everyone who enjoyed our honey, picked up their jars from us and supported the Bee Club with a donation. These donations help us buy new equipment so that our bees can do even better next year. This way, the dedicated members of the Bee Club, made up of RPTU students and staff, can continue beekeeping, harvest honey and of course offer it to you again. At the moment, our bees have gathered in their winter clusters to keep each other warm and are waiting for the first rays of spring sunshine to begin the new bee year in February or March.

There is still some honey left. If you are interested in getting a jar, please send us an email at bienenag(at)rptu.de.
