Short Description

Digital Process Engineering (DPE) is a four-semester Master's degree programme aimed at Bachelor's graduates with a solid background in process engineering and a strong interest in the digital implementation of process engineering problems. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering or an equivalent foreign degree in a related field
  • CGPA at least 2.0 out of 4
  • English language skills equivalent to a TOEFL score of 213 points (internet-based 80 points, written 550 points)
  • Sufficient knowledge in the fields of higher mathematics, chemistry, mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, measurement and control technology, process engineering (thermal, mechanical, chemical, biological) including laboratories, construction of pressure vessels and operation of chemical apparatus

An official list of the required courses/ECTS in the individual disciplines will be published on this page at the beginning of November.

You can download a provisional, legally non-binding list of the required areas with examples of modules offered at RPTU here. The number of modules and ECTS that must be acquired in the respective areas are still being defined. The modules printed in bold and italics (as well as other modules not listed here) can be chosen as part of the bridge semester.

  • Degree certificate(s) (certified translation)
  • Transcript of records
  • Description of subjects covered during your previous studies, e.g. syllabi
  • Letter of motivation (Please consider these guidelines for your Letter of Motivation)
  • English language qualification certificate (e.g. IELTS, TOEFL; see further details)

 

Additionally recommended documents CAN be submitted with the application:

  • up to 2 letters of recommendation from faculty staff of a university or research institute (PDF; can also be sent in paper form to the linked address, if to be handled confidentially)
