Short Description
Mechanical Engineering for Industrial Systems (MEfIS) is a four-semester Master's degree program aimed at Bachelor's graduates with a solid background in Mechanical Engineering and a strong interest in the industrial research, development and implementation of mechanical engineering related challenges. Additionally recommended documents CAN be submitted with the application:
- up to 2 letters of recommendation from faculty staff of a university or research institute (PDF; can also be sent in paper form to the linked address, if to be handled confidentially)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent foreign degree in a related field
- An overall grade point average of at least 3.0 out of 4, with 1.0 as the minimum grade (equivalent to 2.0 in the German grading system)
- English language skills equivalent to a TOEFL score of 95 points (internet-based) or equivalent; see further details
Sufficient knowledge in the fields of higher mathematics, mechanics, fluid mechanics, material science, manufacturing engineering, construction an design of machine elements, thermodynamics, electrical engineering and electronics, measurement and control technology, programming and data processing, finite element simulations.
Additional requirements apply to the different specializations.
