How police and rescue vehicles should get to the scene of an accident faster?
In emergency situations such as traffic accidents and mishaps, every second counts. A quickly and correctly formed emergency lane can have a life-saving effect. However, the formation of emergency lanes does not always work out optimally. How do police and rescue vehicles get to the scene of the accident as quickly as possible? That's what the RPTU Kaiserslautern is researching in project AORTA. In the near future, intelligent systems could guide drivers to shorten rescue times and bring emergency vehicles to their destination more quickly and safely.
