AI-Care project update: Press release at RPTU
The AI-Care project, led by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Naim Bajcinca, is now in the latest press release by RPTU Kaiserslautern!
The Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung is investing five million euros over six years in the AI-Care project at Rheinland-Pfälzischen Technischen Universität Kaiserslautern-Landau. Led by Professor Dr. Naim Bajcinca, the initiative aims to decode the molecular intricacies of Glioblastoma, a highly resistant brain cancer. With the help of artificial intelligence (AI) and single-cell sequencing, the team analyzes thousands of cells to understand resistance mechanisms and predict tumor cell landscapes. The project integrates alredy available and newly generated experimental data for model refinement. Professor Bajcinca emphasizes the interdisciplinary approach, combining expertise in cell biology, mathematics, and AI. The goal is to revolutionize cancer therapy by predicting optimal drug combinations for individual patients. The project aligns with RPTU's commitment to multidisciplinary research and receives vital support from the Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung's "CZS Durchbrüche" program.
