Particulate matter in the air, formed by anthropogenic and natural processes, causes severe health problems in humans and leads to significant
weather and climate changes.
In the course Dedusting Technology, the properties and harmful effects of dusts, and the using of dedusting processes are explained.
This also includes the implementation of their mechanisms in corresponding process equipment, e.g. filters, cyclones, gravity and wet separators.
Models and calculation approaches are explained that are needed for the design of dust separators. Different application examples are presented to the students in several exercises.
