General Information about the degree program
Those students who wish to broaden their horizons alongside their engineering education can gain insight into the fundamental concepts and contents of business administration in the Bachelor's program in Mechanical Engineering with Business Administration. A solid education in essential sub-disciplines of engineering such as mechanics, thermodynamics, materials science, manufacturing technology, electrical engineering, design theory, and machine elements provides the engineering foundation. As engineers with management ambitions, graduates, especially after pursuing a consecutive Master's program, are qualified for cross-sectional and leadership roles in the industry.
The program's content, with a few exceptions, provides the same engineering foundation as the Mechanical Engineering Bachelor's program. Instead of engineering specialization, it includes fundamental business administration subjects and microeconomics. Additionally, students can select modules from the profile areas of business-related programs, totaling 12-17 credit points, and modules of up to 5 credit points from the optional courses of the Mechanical Engineering Bachelor's program. A sixteen-week internship allows the application of acquired knowledge and competencies in the industry. The Bachelor's thesis enables the first experience in scientific work and completes the program.
