The Internship Office is responsible for the ...
- Recognition of the industrial internships required by the respective study and examination regulations for degree programmes in the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering with diploma, bachelor and teaching degrees.
- To ensure that nothing stands in the way of recognition of the internship, we are also happy to check in advance whether the job description matches the required internship. A preliminary check by the Internship Office is mandatory, especially for a planned project internship as a specialist internship. For the preliminary check, please send us the job description by e-mail, stating your name, degree program, matriculation number and type of internship.

Important information
- You will find all the information you need about your internship in the internship regulations that apply to you.
- Submit your documents in good time. The processing time is usually several weeks!
- You can find current opening times in our OLAT course.
- The submission of documents differs in principle according to the type of signature on the report(s) and the internship certificate. In the case of a handwritten signature, documents can be submitted either during the opening hours of the Internship Office( see OLAT foroffice hours ) or by post or by dropping them in the university letterbox. In the case of a digital signature (incl. valid user certificate), the documents can be submitted by e-mail (for more information see OLAT).
- Completed transcripts are sent directly to the MV Office of Student Affairs by digital means.
- The submission of reports by representatives as well as the issue of certificates or reports to representatives is only possible with the submission of an original power of attorney (power of attorney text with original signature, copy of ID of the authorizer, ID of the authorized representative). The corresponding template from the "Powers of attorney" folder in OLAT must be used for this purpose.
- The report booklets will only be processedupon submission of complete and bound/stapled documents (fully completed cover sheet, signed declaration of independence, internship certificate or certificate stating the activities and times (original or certified copy), reports in accordance with §7 of the internship regulations.
- Each weekly report consists of the weekly overview, the description of activities and the illustration you have created yourself. Please refer to theFAQ on reporting and the requirements of the internship regulations.
- Internship certificates and reports must be countersigned and stamped by the company.
- Please only use your RPTU e-mail address when sending e-mails to the Internship Office to prove that you belong to RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau.
