Process Analysis

At the LRF, we develop methods for the online and inline analysis of complex, reactive, multiphase processes. The information obtained in this way is used both for model development—particularly for scale-up and conceptual process development—and for the optimization of ongoing processes.

Process Analytics Projects

NMR Analysis of Complex Reaction Systems

The project uses NMR spectroscopy to conduct a detailed analysis of complex reaction processes. This involves investigating byproducts, reaction kinetics, equilibria, and possible reaction mechanisms. Time-resolved online NMR measurements allow reaction progress to be tracked directly and provide important information for process evaluation and optimization.

Data2Value: Explainable, Inline Image-Based Monitoring for Robust Batch Crystallization

Using inline optical imaging technology, we monitor batch crystallization processes directly during operation. This allows us to detect deviations from the target product quality at an early stage and investigate possible causes.
