The challenges of our time, especially climate change, can only be mastered through technical innovation. This requires intelligent and creative minds, which is why it is particularly important to us and the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering to get young people interested in technology and encourage them to study engineering. We are therefore delighted that the physics class from Siebenpfeiffer-Gymnasium Kusel visited us on 25 September. With the support of our colleagues from the MEGT, FBK and LAF chairs, we were able to give the students a brief overview of the topics of 3D printing, vehicle drives, transmission function and materials testing. We enjoyed giving the motivated students an insight into our discipline and we look forward to welcoming more interested students soon!
