Young people usually choose gender specific occupation. With its “Schoolgirl’s Day” the University of Kaiserslautern aims to broaden the spectrum of careers for girls and young women, since girls are underrepresented in some of the technical and scientific courses at the University of Kaiserslautern. Under the topic "Design for Harmonies" the 19. International Engineering Design Conference (ICED13) takes place from 19th until 22th August 2013 in Seoul, Korea. The conference, organized in two years cycles, offers a technical forum for researchers, practitioners and political decision makers with the opportunity exchange ideas and research results in an international community and to discuss own experiences and problems. Which trends can be seen the field of PLM? Which are typical problems in the introduction and establishing of PLM processes and PLM systems? Is the introduction of a PLM solution process or IT project? These and many more question were discussed by the participants in the workshop “Future PLM”, users, representatives from research, contractors, as well as PLM solution providers within the ProSTEP iViP Symposium 2012. The webpage of the Institute for Virtual Product Engineering received in the last weeks the new clearer and modern interface as well. With its extended content and new layout the new website allows easier access to  subject-specific informations
