Content
Based on the lecture Fluid Flow Machines II, in which students have learned the determination of the main dimensions of axial and radial turbomachinery, in this lecture the way forward for the development of turbomachinery is mediated. This includes the implentation of the main dimensions in a 3-dimensional rotor and stator geometry, as well as the calculation of flow and flow parameter in Fluid Flow Machines using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Therefore both, own and comercial software products are used. Exemplary for the development process, axial- and radial compressor, centrifugal pumps and radial turbines are served.
