Kann man Werkzeugmaschinen per Sprachbefehl steuern?
We are very pleased about the successful start of our new BMBF project DialoKIM, which aims to answer this question. Using artificial intelligence (so-called NLPs), subject-specific voice commands will be possible even under poor environmental conditions. The resulting voice user interface (VUI) should also simplify safety-critical activities and enable inclusive operation. The internal kick-off meeting took place on 24.04.2023 at RPTU in Kaiserslautern.
Within the project, modern deep learning architectures are used to enable real-time capable and reliable control of machine tools. For this purpose, the machine tool and control system are first virtualized, thus enabling a risk-free and fast software-in-the-loop environment. This can significantly accelerate the training of the AI algorithms. The project is being led by SABO MOBILE IT GmbH. The project is supported by Agitum UG, EES Beratungsgesellschaft mbH and the Chair of Production Engineering and Industrial Organization at RPTU.
