FBK at the EMO Hannover 2017

High-profile presentation of the mecPro2 project at EMO Hannover 2017

As part of the cooperation between the German Machine Tool Builders' Association (VDW) and the Scientific Society for Production Engineering (WGP), the FBK presented the successfully completed project mecPro2 (model-based development process for cyber-physical products and production systems) in the mav industrie 4.0 area at EMO Hannover 2017. The mecPro2 project developed a reference development process for Industrie 4.0 with an associated data model, which is based on the concepts of model-based systems engineering (MBSE). This enables the diverse requirements that complex and interdisciplinary systems, such as cyber-physical systems and production systems, entail to be met. EMO Hannover 2017 is an important international meeting place for the metalworking industry. From September 18-23, 2017, exhibitors from all over the world showcased solutions for the challenges facing industry in the 21st century under the motto "Connecting systems for intelligent production".
