Energieeffizienzorientierte Produktgestaltung in der additiven Fertigung

As part of the International Research Training Group - IRTG 2057, our colleagues at the FBK worked closely with scientists from the University of California, Davis on innovative methods for energy efficiency-oriented product design for additive manufacturing. The aim was to evaluate and optimize the energy consumption of additive manufacturing processes in order to promote sustainable solutions in product development. With systematic topological optimization and the use of the Multi-Player Competition Algorithm, promising energy savings of up to 5.8% have already been achieved.
