CIRP Konferenz für Life Cycle Engineering

The sustainability of production systems and the circular economy were the defining themes of the 30th CIRP Life Cycle Engineering Conference at Rutgers University in New Brunswick. Our employees Svenja Ehmsen and Shradha Ghansiyal presented their research results in the areas of energy efficiency of the additive manufacturing processes of high-speed laser cladding and powder bed-based melting. Max Werrel and Li Yi presented their findings on carbon footprint reduction and service sequence planning of product-service systems. We would like to thank Yuebin Guo from Rutgers University and Moneer Helu from the University of Maryland for the organization as well as all participants from international research institutions for the exciting and inspiring exchange.
