The course "Machine Tools" is offered in the winter semester and is the joint successor of the previously offered courses "Machine Tools I" and "Machine Tools 2".

Course contents:
Requirements, functions and structure of machine tools, overall behavior of the machine tool system, guideways, bearings and drives of the machine tool.
Control technology of the WZM, process controls, PLC, NC, CNC controls, feed drives, interpolation, position measuring systems, AC systems, diagnosis and monitoring.

Further information, especially information relevant for exams and, if necessary, changes of lecture and exercise dates, will be communicated via OLAT. The access code to OLAT will be announced in the first lecture.
