Chair of Machine Tools and Control Systems (WSKL)
The Chair of Machine Tools and Control Systems at the RPTU campus Kaiserslautern deals with the establishment of new fields of application for machining with industrial robots.
These include research into the dynamic stiffness of industrial robots and possibilities for the adaptronic control of robotic machining systems. In addition, the Chair of Machine Tools and Controls is concerned with machine dynamics in micromachining and the digital acquisition and processing of operating data from machine tools.
Since June 2017 the chair is being led by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Ruskowski. In 1991, the chair was founded under the name of the Chair of Production Automation (pak) and continuous led by Prof. Dr. Ing. Detlef Zühlke.
