Symposium “Circular Value Chain” at Waseda University Tokyo
On 16 May 2026, the joint symposium “Circular Value Chain” between Waseda University Tokyo and RPTU will take place on the Nishi-Waseda Campus in Tokyo.
The symposium is organized by Prof. Chiharu Tokoro and Prof. Hidehiro Kamiya (Department of Earth, Resources and Environmental Engineering, Graduate School of Creative Science & Engineering, Waseda University) and Prof. Sergiy Antonyuk (RPTU, Research Training Group on the Recovery of Critical Raw Materials WERA).
The event focuses on opportunities for international academic–industry collaboration in the fields of resource circulation and advanced manufacturing. It features recent research results in areas of high industrial relevance, including particle technology, resource recovery and separation processes, process simulations (CFD–DEM), and surface engineering and manufacturing technologies.
Through presentations by doctoral students and early-career researchers, the symposium provides a platform for sharing technical challenges, identifying potential applications, and discussing future joint research, technology development, and exchange programs. The symposium offers valuable insights into emerging technologies and strengthens prospects for international collaboration.
