Ultra-precision and microtechnology: TU Kaiserslautern receives research building for over 52 million euros

On April 27, the German Council of Science and Humanities adopted its "Recommendations for the Funding of Research Buildings (2019)". On June 29, the Joint Science Conference of the Federal Government and the Länder (GWK) will make a final decision on the inclusion of research buildings in the funding on the basis of the Science Council's recommendations. The new building is home to teams from the fields of mechanical engineering, process engineering, physics and computer science. With Prof. Aurich as spokesperson for the "Laboratory for Ultra-Precision and Micro Engineering" (LPME), the FBK is playing a leading role.
