New video on Application-Driven 6G

How can future 6G networks meet the high demands of industrial production environments? This question was addressed by the Open6GHub project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space.

As part of the sub-project "OpenLab: Application-Driven 6G", technological and functional requirements of industrial applications were analyzed and implemented in a joint research demonstrator. The work was carried out in collaboration with partners from RWTH Aachen University, Hasso Plattner Institute Potsdam and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.

The demonstrator developed is based on a networks-in-networks concept for future 6G infrastructures: several sub-networks are coordinated by a dynamic spectrum management system and thus enable robust and flexible communication in complex production environments.

The video gives an insight into the demonstrator and shows how the Networks-in-Networks concept can be implemented in a fully automated production environment.
