On November 10, 2023, Oleg Urazmetov presented and successfully defended his doctoral thesis entitled "Simulation des Einflusses der Düsenströmung auf den Zerfall von Hochdruckwasserstrahlen" in a public university lecture.

In his dissertation, Oleg Urazmetov investigated and described the complex, multiphase flow phenomena in high-pressure water jets using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations. With the models developed in this work, the nozzle geometry can be optimized in order to optimize the jet decay or to minimize the wear of the inner wall or to increase its service life.  

The work was reviewed by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Sergiy Antonyuk from the Chair of Particle Process Engineering (MVT) at the RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau and Prof. Udo Fritsching from the University of Bremen (Department of Multiphase Flows).
