Co-operation Meeting with the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society at the Institute of Particle Process Engineering at RPTU

Following an initiative by Prof. Bernd Sachweh (apl. Prof. RPTU) with the support of our Vice President for Research, Prof. Thiel, and the Dean of the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering, Prof. Ulber, we welcomed a delegation from the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (CMES) to our department on May 13, 2025. The organization is comparable to the Verein Deutscher Ingenieure e. V. (VDI e. V.) and is also committed to the promotion of technical sciences and the practical exchange between science and industry. Our guests were the CMES President, Prof. Zhonqin Lin, the Vice President, Prof. Guobiao Wang, and Ms. Ying Liang, the Director.

The visit focused on professional exchange and the planning of future cooperation opportunities in the areas of teaching and research. Following a tour of the laboratories of four other institutes of our department, they discussed prospects for bilateral projects, student mobility and joint events.
